Yes, it's been quite a while and yours truly is back to share with you the delicious food creations I've been devouring as of late!
Bestie, mini bestie and I headed out over the weekend to Kosmos Eat-Drink-Greek in Walpole. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, seated immediately at our cozy table. Our friendly, efficient waiter brought a carafe of water for us and took our appetizer order. We were anxiously awaiting to sample our choices.
We decided on the trio of dips-whipped feta, tzatziki, and hummus served with warm, grilled pita bread. OMG! I can't decide which I enjoyed most but if I had to choose it would be the tzatziki! Everything was so fresh and tasty.
We could not pass up the Spanakopita. Crispy phyllo dough, feta, herbs and spinach. Fantastic. Their feta is beyond scrumptious. Creamy, fresh, just enough herbs and spices. Sent straight from the Greek Gods.
Obviously we had to get a salad of some sort so we decided on the Horiatiki. Super fresh, diced tomatoes, onions, cukes, peppers, capers, huge olives and a giant piece of feta on top, drizzled with EVOO.
Let's all say it together now!!
Everything is beta with FETA!!
For my libation, I enjoyed a Kosmo. Vodka, white cranberry, orange, lime and served with a gorgeous, pink edible flower. Refreshing!
And for our entrees, I ordered the Papoutsakia. Melt in your mouth baked eggplant halves, spiced meat filling , and cheesy Bechamel served with greens. The portion was enormous and beyond delicious! Plenty to take home for my man. And he was pleased to say the least.
This blog is for him.
The besties shared the Brizola. The boneless ribeye, medium rare, served with roasted baby potatoes and a pepper sauce on the side. They also ordered a side of the rice with spinach and lemon. Yummy.
All was cooked to perfection and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. That includes a 14 year old! So score!
We had a delightful time catching up, laughing and such. I will totally be returning to Kosmos. Already planning to check out their lunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays.
